XMPro Overview

‘Human-centric’ Workflow

XMPro is sometimes referred to as a ‘Human-centric Workflow application,’ but is more accurately described as a Human Interaction Management tool. It ensures that the right person does the right task at the right point in time with the right information so as to improve the customer experience and increase revenue, reduce process related costs and reduce operational costs and ensure control, consistency and transparency – and hence improved governance.

The system also provides better control for IT in terms of information security, access and use, a better experience for users, as it is not only consistent but easy to use, and finally results in better outcomes for business, as process owners can actively measure and improve process outcomes.

XMPro has, for example, the ability to trigger rules at the actual activity in the process or in the form field, something that provides the flexibility to handle process exceptions and complex processes that have many route options. This functionality acts as an umbrella which coordinates repeatable and unstructured process interactions involving human tasks, decisions, SharePoint, Outlook and enterprise applications. XMPro customers are consistently reporting on the power they have gained through syncing their technology and accessing information in one place, no matter how complex a process gets.

XMPro has the ability to deploy a process to multiple user interfaces that include mobile devices. Customers access their process activities from interfaces that are the most convenient for their organisation, including their Outlook, SharePoint Portal or mobile devices.

XMPro was identified by analysts Gartner as a ‘Cool Vendor’ (May 2012) in Business Process Management (BPM), a ranking based on its innovative, impactful and intriguing technology. According to the group’s in-depth look at the platform, organisations using products from Cool BPM Vendors don’t just view business processes as a static, repeatable set of flows but seek dynamic BPM rules-driven processes that change on the fly. BPM suppliers of this rank focus on providing mobile access to business processes from a variety of devices, consuming BPM technology in the Cloud and support social BPM. The five vendors profiled in this research exercise focus on knowledge-intensive processes that require case management, advanced decision making, and intelligent business operations. BPM platforms accelerate time to results in business process improvement (BPI) projects, and form a foundation for creating and maintaining truly next-generation, composite applications.
